4,444 PRISONERS · 1 FACILITY · 1 WAY OUT
The Great Escape is a character driven digital universe built around prison life, rebellion, and survival and one objective shared by everyone inside. Escape.
The gates were built to keep us in.
4,444 prisoners. Different appearances, different identities, different stories but one shared mission.
The Great Escape is a digital collection and an evolving entertainment universe built around a mysterious prison facility and the people trapped inside it. The collection is where the story begins, not where it ends. We intend to expand this world through storytelling, interactive experiences, games and community participation.
You aren't just collecting a prisoner.
You're entering the facility.
Each prisoner belongs to the same facility while carrying their own appearance and identity. Holding one is intended to connect you more deeply with the ecosystem as it develops through community access, testing, events and future holder-focused features.
The Great Escape is being developed around four principles.
4,444 prisoners establish the characters and community at the center of the universe.
The Great Escape expands into playable experiences, starting small and building toward something larger.
Holders take part through community activities, testing, feedback, competitions and selected decisions.
As the ecosystem expands, members of our own community get opportunities to contribute their skills.
Our first playable Great Escape experience is a 2D game set inside the prison universe and it is not the final game. It's the starting point.
Rather than spend years talking about a massive game nobody can play, we're beginning with something achievable: release it, learn from it, build forward.
The 2D experience is only the first step. Our larger ambition is a full Great Escape game capable of becoming one of the central products of the ecosystem.
We won't fill this page with features that haven't been built simply because they sound impressive. As development advances, we'll share concepts, environments, footage and testing opportunities.
We don't want to put GAME on a roadmap. We want to build one worth playing.
